The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh Webgames
My Role: Lead Evaluator, User Testing
Description: In the summer of 2006, two games were created for the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh’s website: Build-a-Fountain and Build-a-Monster. The University of Pittsburgh Center for Learning in Out-of-School Environments (UPCLOSE) was commissioned to evaluate: (1) Whether or not children gained any specific knowledge while playing the game, such as how to silkscreen or think critically; (2) Whether children understood the game’s application to the museum; (3) Whether children understood the game’s application to the real world versus the virtual world.
