Platform: Card Game
Team: Anuja Parikh and Joshua Seaver
My Role: Co-Designer
Overview: Moksha is a card game where each player is trying to attain enlightenment through opening seven energy centers of the body (called Chakras). This game is about energy flow and blockage, and energy used in this game is called karma. Most actions in this game require karma.
Objective The objective is for each player in the game to become enlightened. To become enlightened, you must fill up your “energy body” by collecting seven “flow cards” (in any order) and placing them in the corresponding slot on their game board. The seven energy centers, or Chakras, are located at different points along the center of the body and have corresponding colors:
- Red, Base of spine
- Orange, Lower abdomen/belly button
- Yellow, Solar Plexus (upper abdomen)
- Green, Heart
- Light Blue, Throat
- Blue, Third Eye
- Purple, Crown
A player “wins” when they have and one of each color of “flow cards” in their board, and no obstruction cards overlaying the board. However, a player may choose to stay in the game and assist the other player attain enlightenment.
